Description
The Account Representative serves as smashLAB's point of contact with new business. She/he works with the Principals to articulate the firm’s value proposition, while focusing upon prospecting leads and converting them to long-term clients. This role requires a sound knowledge of brand strategy and interactive principles/practices. It demands the commitment of an individual who can verbalize the importance of effectively carried-out interactive strategies.
Education, experience, & skills
- One to three years experience selling interactive services
- Four year degree in marketing, commerce, or a related discipline
- A sound knowledge of brand strategy, business, and marketing
- Understands corporate environments and can articulate the value of design to decision makers
- Fluency in standard business software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable working in a highly demanding and fast-moving environment
Responsibilities
- Execute upon the sales strategy as outlined by the Principals
- Establish leads with potential clients in chosen verticals and work to nurture these relationships
- Maintain regular contact with existing and past clients, anticipating and suggesting potential efforts
- Obtain, plan, and conduct meetings with prospects, and articulate the firm’s value proposition
- Report to Principals with sales expectations and performance
- Estimate project costs with the assistance of the Principals, and prepare/present proposals to clients
- Act as primary client contact with the firm, and work to ensure client expectations are met
- Understand the client's business strategy and uncover new ways to support that strategy
- Gain influence in the client's strategic planning, and become viewed as a third-party team member
- Ensure that opportunities/challenges are understood, identified, and addressed successfully

This is a full-time, permanent position. Applicants must live in, or be willing to relocate to the Vancouver area.
