Challenge
Borealis needed an interface design that would complement its unique offerings in carbon offsetting. In such a flooded market, communicating its use of the only integrated value chain in the carbon offsetting industry was key. Although a relatively new company, Borealis also needed a way to demonstrate that its knowledge and experience comes from the over 200 skilled professionals within the forest industry.

smashLAB designed an unexpected brand identity and an information focused website, positioning Borealis as a boutique offsets company and differentiating them in an overwhelmingly flooded green industry. Key directors and project solutions are featured on the site to illustrate the company’s long-time professional experience in the forest industry.


Result
Borealis now has the website and brand assets to capture attention in a oversaturated green market. The flexibility of their website allows for continual updates and additions required by a growing company. Their value proposition is now clearly articulated through messaging and design and they can engage potential clients with all the added confidence and professionalism that a strong identity affords.
